It is with a deep sadness I am informing you that Muhammad Salman Nasaruddin, 24, son of the late Dato Nasaruddin Jalil, left us today at 2:00 PM to return to his Creator.  He was the victim of a hit-and-run while walking on the street near his home in Kuala Lumpur.  So far no one has been charged with the crime and no one has taken responsibility for this heinous act.

For the past six weeks Salman has volunteered virtually all of his time to my campaign and to KeADILan as my chief videographer and photographer.  He has traveled with my entourage to rallies and events throughout the country in Penang, Perak, Pahang, Kedah Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, and Terengganu.

On the road Salman performed the work that would normally be done by two or three people simultaneously.  He would return to the office in the early hours of the morning and work tirelessly to upload his content to my website so that others might benefit from it.  I am immensely appreciative of his sacrifice and diligence.

His skillful photography and videography brought the visual story of our campaign for change and for justice in Malaysia to millions of people around the country and around the world who would never have a chance to see and hear my speeches and see the thousands of people coming to support KeADILan except through the Internet.

In the last two weeks, I am pleased to say, the upswell of support in Malaysia for my campaign inspired in Salman a newfound hope in the future of our country.  His eagerness to work sleepless nights and spend long hours on the road will never be forgotten.

Salman’s passing is nothing less than a profound loss to my staff and to all Malaysians who can in him find an example of someone who believed that change is possible and that hard work and diligence are the keys to success.

We pray that God Almighty forgive him of his shortcomings accept him into Heaven, and give perseverence to his family during this time of immense grief.

P/S Semoga allah mencucuri rahmat keatasnya
